चंडीगढ़ 'स्मार्ट' पुलिस पर दो दिवसीय कार्यशाला का हुआ आयोजन
Today, Regional Workshop on ' Smart'  Policing for two days (20 & 21 May 2015) is started in UT Guest House, Chandigarh. Sh. Vijay Kumar Dev, IAS, Advisor to the Administrator, Chandigarh was the Chief Guest of this occasion. 
Inaugural Session was started with arrival of chief guest, welcome address by Sh. R.P. Upadhyay, IPS, IGP/UT, Chandigarh,  Sh. Sumedh Singh Saini, IPS, Director General of Police, Punjab, Sh.  Todays workshop was divided into the following six sessions:-

1. Defining Smart Policing: Establishment of Smart Police Stations 

2. Smart Traffic Management 

3. Police Accountability

4. Police-Public Interface and Community policing. 

5. Best Practices

6. Brainstorming Session. 

and Smart Police personnel. 

This workshop is jointly organized by the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD) and the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in association with the Chandigarh Police. Apart from the host state, senior police officers and eminent experts from various fields from the participating states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and the Union territories of Delhi and Chandigarh are taking part.
