A function celebrating Girl Child Education by SAKSHI
New Delhi :- NGO SAKSHI organised an event to celebrate their Girl Child Education program with a start-up from Dubai, The Happy Box joining in to distribute education kits to 500 girl students, beneficiaries of SAKSHI's Girl's Education Project at the Arya Auditorium, East of Kailash, New Delhi.

The day commenced with a visit to SAKSHI centres in the morning and in the afternoon the children participated in a unique program, where they presented a play and various other colourful programs with strong message towards female foeticide, girl child education and increasing crime against them.

The Children performed a welcome song followed by a folk dance. A beautifully acted, sensitively scripted play on the evils against women in Society followed. A judo demonstration followed by distribution of the educational material by a group of Dubai based philanthropists to 500 girl students. Special Olympics Gold Medal winner Ranveer Saini (Golf, 2015) was felicitated on this occasion as an example of overcoming challenge and adversity.

On this occasion, the welcome address by SAKSHI president Dr Mridula Tandon, emphasised the necessity for Girl child Education and the need for the community and corporates to come forward and participate in this exercise in a meaningful way.
Present on the occasion were. SAKSHI president Mridula Tandon and Sakshi Project Director Zuber Khan, Jumana Al Darwish, Noted poet Farhat Shahzad, Famous Ghazal Singer Shakeel Ahmed amongst others.
