Three worldly scholars and renowned personalities in the field of education, diplomacy and law were in the city to attend the convocation ceremony organized by Rai University, Ahmedabad.

An exceptional Diplomat, expert on International Relations & Ambassador of Turkey to India H.E. Mr. Burak Akcapar; Diplomat in Law, Professor of Master in International Relation and Law & Ambassador of Spain to India H.E. Mr. Gustavo de Aristegui and the renowned strategist and business guru, Prof. Richard D Aveni were conferred with honorary doctorate degrees by Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasma, Hon�ble Minister of Education, Gujarat, at a convocation ceremony organized by Rai University.

In her welcome address, Dr. Harbeen Arora, Chancellor, Rai University said, Quality education is every citizens birth right and no one should remain untouched by its transformative power. Skilling millions of youth must be the priority and we must aim towards realizing and utilizing the reach of virtual education to cater to the masses.

Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasma, Honble Minister of Education, Gujarat said, Its a great pride to honor H.E. Mr. Burak Akcapar, H.E. Mr. Gustavo de Aristegui and Prof. Richard D Aveni with honorary doctorate degrees in recognition to their service and outstanding contribution in respective fields.

Accepting the honorary degree, H.E. Mr. Burak Akcapar said We should focus on social issues that degrade the society and work together towards bringing harmony across borders. He received honorary degree of Doctor of Diplomacy & International Relations for his exceptional contribution to international peace relation and promoting stability among nations.

H.E. Mr. Gustavo de Aristegui, who too was awarded with degree of Doctor of Diplomacy and law, stressed on strengthening the future of nation by promoting education in every nook and corner.

While accepting the degree of Doctor of Strategic Management, Prof. Richard D Aveni reiterated what President US Barack Obama said recently that Indian PM Modi is a man of Action and Dynamism and will lead India into becoming a global power.

In this special occasion, the university students were also conferred with degrees along with the Launch of Gujarat MOOCs.

The annual scholarships for under-privileged girls were presented in the name of Dr. Sebnem K. Akcapar, world-renowned scholar and anthropologist and Darshana Doshi, Past President, Indian Merchants Chamber Ladies Wing.
