CBI REGISTERS A CASE AGAINST TWO OFFICIALS OF SECL AND DIRECTOR OF A PRIVATE COMPANY FOR CAUSING AN ALLEGED LOSS OF RS. 1.27 CRORES(APPROX)

The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against two officials of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), Bishrampur Area, Distt. Chirimiri (Chhattisgarh) and Director of a Private Company (Security Agency) based at Bishrampur Area, Distt. Chirimiri (Chhattisgarh) & unknown others U/s 120-B, 420 & section 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of PC Act for alleged  conspiracy in release of excess payment of Rs. 1.27 Crores (approx) to said Company towards the Coal allowance and service charges on the basis of false statement of deployment showing percentage deployment of  ex-serviceman as 90 per cent.  A loss of Rs. 1.27 Crores (approx) was caused to SECL.


Searches at residence & office of accused persons were carried out at Bilaspur, Korba, Bishrampur and Delhi. The incriminating documents recovered during searches are under scrutiny.
