With the arrest of a lady thief and 2 receivers of stolen property, the local Police of PS Kalkaji has busted a gang of thieves indulging in committing laptop theft.     

INCIDENT

                On 04.04.2013, Sh. Deepak Sharma S/o Sh. Satyanarain Sharma reported that on 1.4.2013 at 7.30 AM, a woman aged around 35/40 Yrs who had disclosed her name as Anita came first time to his house for working as new domestic help.   As he was in hurry to go to office, hence he went to bathroom to take bath.  When he came out of the bathroom found that the above woman was not there and room was locked from outside.  Two laptops make Dell and Toshiba lying at his house were missing.  On the basis of above allegation, a case vide FIR No. 139/2013 dated 10.4.2013 u/s 380/411 IPC was registered at PS Kalkaji.

INVESTIGATION

 During investigation, initially despite making vigorous efforts neither accused nor case property could be traced out, however, the Police was constantly on the look out of this lady.  A team under the supervision of Inspr. Brijinder Singh, SHO/PS Kalkaji and under the overall supervision of Ms. Usha Rangnani, IPS, ACP/Kalkaji consisting of HC Jagat Singh, Ct. Purushottam and W/Ct. Seema Chaudhary was constituted and finally this team cracked this case.   

                The above team made sincere and vigorous efforts and collected intelligence through secret sources.   Ultimately on 14.12.2013, on receipt of secret information through secret informer, accused namely Vishakha @ Anita W/o Sh. Mahesh R/o H.No. 1827/4, Lal Quan, Kori Gaon, Chungi No. 3, Faridabad, Haryana, aged 38 Years was apprehended. 

 Earlier she misled the police team but later on she broke down during sustained interrogation and admitted the commission of theft of laptops from the house of complainant.  She further disclosed that she sold those laptops to one Bablu at Pulprahlad Pur for Rs.5,000/-.  She was arrested in this case accordingly.  

                At her instance, a raid was conducted at the shop of Bablu S/o Late Sh. Devi Ram R/o B-10, Lal Quan, Chungi No. 2, Pulprahlad Pur, New Delhi and three laptops including one out of two laptops which were found stolen from the house of complainant by Vishakha @ Anita were recovered.   

                During further investigation, at the instance of accused Bablu, his employee namely Santosh S/o Sh. Rama Nand R/o A-293, Lal Quan, Chungi No. 2, Pulprahlad Pur was also arrested and recovered laptop from his possession which was found stolen from the house of complainant.   Both Bablu and Santosh were arrested in this case as receiver of stolen property.  Regarding other recovered laptops, efforts are being made to identify the place of theft.

PROFILE & MODUS OPERANDI OF ACCUSED:-

 Ms. Vishakha @ Anita W/o Sh. Mahesh R/o H.No. 1827/4, Lal Quan, Kori Gaon, Chungi No. 3, Faridabad, Haryana, aged 38 Years visited the house in guise of domestic help and took away valuable like Laptops etc. as soon as she finds an opportunity  

Accused Bablu S/o Late Sh. Devi Ram R/o B-10, Lal Quan, Chungi No. 2, Pulprahlad Pur, New Delhi runs a shop of selling Dish TV Set Top Boxes and Santosh is working in this shop as employee of Bablu.  Bablu takes stolen laptop from Vishakha on very cheap rate.       

RECOVERY:-

1.    One Laptop make Dell (stolen from the house of complainant)

2.    One Laptop make Toshiba (stolen from the house of complainant)

3.    Two other laptops  each make Dell and Intel.
